What do I get for donating?

To show our appreciation for your support, everyone who donates will receive a shiny new wallpaper as a donation gift. We change this wallpaper every month or so, and you should be automatically directed to the download page when you complete your Paypal transaction. If you ever miss a wallpaper, they are available for purchase in our online store.

We'd also like to reward those of you who choose to go above and beyond to donate a little more to the comic, so everyone who donates or more will also receive a limited edition button as an extra expression of our gratitude. These buttons are mailed out at the end of every month, and we only make 100 at a time. When one design runs out, we'll switch to the next design.

Why should I donate?

Errant Story requires a huge time commitment to run. Not only do we produce comics, we also have to coordinate the store and convention appearances. As a result, both Poe and Impy are running the studio not just for fun, but as a full time job. By donating to the studio, you are helping to support them and helping to keep the comics available and updating on the web for everyone to enjoy.

What does my donation get used for?

Donations are the only part of the studio's income that goes straight to Poe and Impy's paycheck. Even with the amount stated as the goal, it's only enough to cover about half their monthly expenses. The store pays for hosting, art supplies, conventions, new products, and all the various expenses of running a business. Sometimes, though, we do decide to hold a special donations drive for a specific purpose, such as raising money to help us with some necessity the 00 a month just doesn't cover. When that is the case, you will see an announcement on the page to that effect.

When will I hear back from you about my donation?

After you donate, you should automatically be directed to a page from which you can download the wallpaper. If not, please do write to us and we'll give you the link.

Usually, we update our records about paypal at the end of the month, so you should hear from us around the first week or so of the month after you donated if we need to reach you about your donation gift. After that, it's just a matter of Poe getting the art done for you, which he usually does in batches at the end of a month. Once your art has shipped, we should e-mail you to let you know.
